NHS Digital is the national digital, data and technology partner for the NHS and social care system. We design, build, deploy and operate national products, platforms and data services for patients, clinicians, those who manage the system and researchers in the NHS, academia and the life sciences sector. Our systems serve up to 53 million citizens and 1.3 million NHS staff.

This is an exciting time to join us as the organisation as we enter a period of growth with lots of opportunities available. As part of this expansion, we have opportunities for five Personal Assistants to join us to support our Executive Management Teams within Data Services, Finance and HR.

As an organisation we have embraced a hybrid working model with work time split between office and home. For roles supporting our Finance and HR teams the office location is Leeds only. For the Data services team this could be either London or Leeds.

  • Managing a complex diary, planning, and coordinating commitments.
  • Arranging meetings and appointments, booking accommodation, and making travel arrangements.
  • Maintaining effective communication with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
  • Planning, supporting and providing secretariat function for events, workshops and meetings, including taking minutes and actions as required and collation and distribution.
  • Managing own workload, completing tasks that have been delegated by manager or others and working to set deadlines.

Some of the skills and experience we're looking for:

  • Experience of providing efficient and effective PA and business support to executive level management.
  • Experience of performing complex administration support functions to support senior management and wider teams.
  • Exposure to coordinating, planning and facilitating appointments, events, meetings and workshops, including experience of producing accurate minutes and action logs.
  • Prioritisation skills through successful management of own workload with minimal supervision and meeting tight deadlines negotiated with line manager and/or external stakeholders.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and Outlook).
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills, with the ability to form and maintain productive and positive working relationships
