Our growing Data Services Team aims to become the provider of choice for the health and care in England, improving outcomes through the availability of and innovative use of data. Data Services brings together data scientists analysts and engineers, technical solutionists and a range of delivery and operational staff to provide in-demand products and services.

The Data Services Workforce Team play an integral role in developing a flexible, dynamic and skilled workforce in line with business need. Reliable and timely Management Information about our diverse and growing workforce is key, recognising its importance in informing future business models, business decisions and day-to-day operations.

With a commitment to putting our customers at the heart of our service, this position offers the right individual the opportunity the play a key role in defining customer requirements, developing credible and innovative models for creating Management Information views and producing user friendly formats for bespoke and regular reporting.

 

More about the role

As part of a motivated operational team, this role positively contributes to the smooth running of Data Services and our future planning; primarily this involves:

  • Building positive relationships with our customers to understand and meet their needs and close working with our stakeholders from different corporate teams, with whom we are inter-dependent.
  • Regular use of Excel and other software, making use of their wider functionality, e.g. formulae, interrogation tools for the purposes of maintaining accurate and linkable reports and trackers.
  • Developing and maintaining Power BI reports and other user-friendly dashboards for a variety of audiences
  • Developing and defining processes required to manage workforce data on an ongoing basis.
  • Regular use of a number of corporate systems, recognising the importance of accessing and updating multiple corporate and local data sources via a number of systems/ tools.
  • Application of appropriate data validation techniques, ensuring data quality is fit for purpose.

About you

Some of the skills and experience we're looking for:

 

  • Knowledge of business and operational delivery tools and techniques including business as usual risk management, business planning and finance management, in a complex working environment.
  • Evidence of knowledge over a number of disciplines, e.g. operational delivery management, risk management, benefits management, finance, commercial and procurement, stakeholder management, staff management, communications acquired through training and experience.
  • Knowledge of software applications and systems used for managing information, documents, with knowledge of records management techniques.
  • Knowledge of staff management good practice principles and team performance management techniques.
  • Knowledge of corporate information systems, e.g. Customer Relationship Management, Risk and Finance management tools.
  • Knowledge of the importance of information governance, with working knowledge of Data Protection Legislation.
