About the role

The Corporate Digital Team (CDT) manage and develop the NHS Digital website https://www.digital.nhs.uk. The website is central to the customer experience across the 400+ things NHS Digital does. The CDT are focused on the delivery of curated and orchestrated customer experiences. Together we are configuring the digital experience platform (DXP) to achieve this.

As the Business Analyst for the CDT you will carry out an in-depth evaluation and verification of the capabilities of systems, serving as a middleman between the end-users and software developers, to ensure that product information is properly disseminated.
You will work with other subject matter experts and internal stakeholders in gathering, validating, and documenting content management system requirements. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to identify their needs and establish ways upon which customer needs can be met for their maximum benefit and satisfaction. You will also be an intermediary between NHS Digital and third-party suppliers working for us on a variety of projects related to the NHS Digital website / Intranet.

About you

You will be a highly motivated individual looking to join a multidisciplinary digital team, where you will be conducting analysis for a service that encompasses the totality of what NHS Digital does (over 400 things). The role requires strong analytical and delivery skills, the ability to break down complex issues to provide solutions, and excellent communication skills with roles across all levels of seniority. There will also be a requirement to address high-profile, high-impact, cross functional business demands, and at times prepare and present information to senior management.

We want to make sure that you are set for success, these are the key skills and experience that you will have:
  • Experience of working with a range of stakeholders to identify, qualify and analyse requirements, practice and constraints which underpin business analysis and other activities throughout project and service lifecycles

  • Experience of resolving customer needs through the application of analytical techniques to identify required information characteristics

  • Ability to communicate through a variety of media including specialist tooling as well as face to face, email, web technologies, and MS Office products including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to a high standard

  • Experience of working across all phases of projects either alone or with a small team including identification, assessment and management of risks and production of realistic plans and contribution towards lessons learned

  • Knowledge of different technical publishing concepts, tools and methods and the ways in which these are implemented

  • Knowledge of business modelling techniques, e.g., UML, BPMN. Solution development and implementation
