Where you make a difference
As the national safe haven for patient data, NHS Digital has a responsibility to provide near-real-time, cost-effective, comprehensive, quality-assured data and data services covering the whole health and care pathway on every individual in England.
As part of our vision to increase our reach and impact on health and care outcomes, the Data Services Directorate is redesigning the way we operate. We will curate high-quality, timely data for analysis and reporting to enable quality care provision and enable users to inform national policy and local commissioning. Alongside this, we will minimise burden on the wider health and care system in relation to the collection and provision of that data.
What's involved, top line
As we move to a new user-centred Operating Model, the Associate Director of Data Design & Integration plays a pivotal role in leading the design and implementation of data pipelines, including data modelling, transformation and integration processes. .The successful candidate will ensure that agreed standards and data best practices are applied, that quality is optimised, and that data is linkable at patient level for longitudinal applications.
Demonstrating a deep understanding of the benefits and value that the effective use of data can bring to the life of our citizens as well as knowledge and experience of national and local processes for capturing, transforming, processing and flowing data, you will utilise proven leadership skills to support the transition to the new Operating Model and ways of working.
