As a Senior Media Relations Officer here at NHS Digital you will have an opportunity to express your creativity and deliver meaningful and impactful communications campaigns in an environment where your work has a direct and positive impact on the frontline and the public
Working with the wider media team you will be responsible for promoting the important work we do through high quality media relations and via our social media channels, and provide support around reputation management, including providing advice to senior stakeholders and crisis communications.
This role is a part-time 12 month fixed term contract. 22.5 hours per week ideally over 3 consecutive days.
As a Senior Media Relations Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Acting as the first point of contact for media enquiries and responses.
- Proactively manage media and social media activity for our data and technology programmes of work.
- Building relationships with national journalists and key influencers in a manner that best protects and enhances corporate reputation.
- Providing specialist advice on media and social media as and when required across the business.
- Working as part of multi-disciplinary teams to design and implement high quality integrated communications campaigns.
- Producing high quality planned materials including press releases, interview briefs, social media collateral and placed editorial, alongside reactive documents such as lines to take.
